The spotlight for June is a technique called "Random Stamping" and uses plain neutral paper, stamps, and inks to create one-of-a-kind design paper.
For my project, I planned ahead and knew I was going to be making a project that has a specific top and bottom, so I stamped my images to go in the correct direction. I could have stamped them in every direction and it would have worked out just fine, but I was trying to create a specific look.
I stamped the flowers and added stems to look realistic. Then I added some leaves to the sides to "frame" the main panel image. I also stamped the other flowers randomly all over the front and sides of the image.
My next step is to adhere the sides together to make a shopping bag. It is exactly the right side to hold a supply of A2 size cards and makes a great gift. I added grosgrain ribbon to make the handles. Isn't it cute?
Now hop on over to Adeline's Blog and see her lovely creations.
Cute bag, I like how the designs lined up on the sides.
