Card made using Its Your Day stamp set

When I saw the bicycle on this stamp set, I knew I had to make a card using a technique I learned a few years ago.  You stamp the image 3 times without adding ink to the stamp.  To make the image show up, you huff your moist breath onto the stamp between stamping.  I stamped the bicycle the first time using the ink as it came from the ink pad. Then I huffed the stamp to moisten the ink and stamped the bicycle slightly behind the first image.  That is called 2nd Generation stamping.  It gives the same color with less intensity. Immediately after the 2nd stamping, I huffed again to moisten and quickly stamped the 3rd image (3rd Generation) slightly behind the 2nd.  This gives the illusion that the bicycle is moving forward.  I stamped the sentiment in the same Outdoor Denim ink.

For the banners on the card, I used the chevron border stamp and stamped using Slate Ink, Outdoor Denim Ink, Black Ink, Ruby Ink and another Slate Ink.  Then I cut out the stamped rectangles. To make the pennant shape, I cut up the center of the end about a half inch in. Then I cut from corner to the center cut from each side. I cut all subsequent banners using the first one as a template.

I inked all the edges of the tag and banners with Slate Ink on a Fingertip Dauber. I added 3 Cranberry Brads into the corners. I lined them up using the quarter inch holes in the Ruler. To get the corner, I punched the holes in the corner and one side, then placing the Paper Piercer into the corner hole, I turned the ruler and lined it up to make the 3rd punch.  I attached the layer using 3-D foam tape to raise it up off the card.
