Artbooking in August - Week 3

Welcome to the third week of our inspiration of Artbooking Cricut Cartridge from Close to My Heart.
Once again, we have tons of projects to entice you to get creative with this cartridge.  You probably hopped here from Kim's Blog

Monday is the first day of school.  All of my thoughts and energy have been in preparing my classroom for all those happy, excited, smiling faces of the boys and girls entrusted to my daily care to amuse, entertain, and most of all, educate.

When I first saw this image of the man and woman at convention, the idea of making new signs for the boys and girls restroom between my classroom and the one next door entered my mind and never left.  So, that is what I was inspired to create.

I cut the man/woman image at about 10" from CTMH Black cardstock.  I cut them once and actually separated them.  I added an arm to the female shape to complete her.

I cut the star and bow frames from a couple of photo mat layers and layered both images on pale pink and pale blue 8 1/2 x 11" generic cardstock that I used for school.

Now hop on over to Deb's blog and see her creation.

Remember to come back next week for the fourth and final week of our Artbooking in August blog hop.

  5. What a FUN and creative way to dress up bathroom signs! I wanted to be a teacher years ago...but only to get to decorate my classroom so I thought the children would be better off if I didn't pursue that dream. I mean, I can live on creativity alone but I'm sure the kids can't pass tests on Cricut files and display boards :0)
