Easter Wishes Card

I was asked to design an Easter Card that would not be too difficult for someone to make.  It took quite a few tries but here is what I came up with.

First I cut some flower shapes and a border shape using my Silhouette Cameo out of Outdoor Denim cardstock. I knew I was going to add the crystal button on top of the center of the flower.
I rounded the petals of the flower by using my thumbnail and scraping outwards from the center to the tip of each petal. I did this to all four layers creating a simple bowl shape in each layer.  I put a little glue in each center and built the flower up from the largest to the smallest layer.  I added the crystal button using glue dots.

I stamped the phrase "Easter Wishes" in White Daisy pigment ink and embossed with white embossing powder.
The card itself is a 10 x 7 piece of White Daisy cardstock scored and folded at 5" to create a 5x7 card.  I added a piece of Ariana patterned paper to the top leaving about 1/8" edge.  I added the border and flower to the bottom third of the card.

For the inside of the card, I stamped the phrase and candle using Outdoor Denim ink and the candle's flame using Honey ink on White Daisy cardstock.  I layered it on Outdoor Denim cardstock.
I love the way this card finally came out.  I am planning to use it for my Monday night card class also.
