Career Day at Grassy Waters Elementary School

I had the best time today. It was career day at the school where I teach. I had the opportunity to take off my "teacher hat" and show the students my passion for making scrapbooks and cards.

I taught 4 groups of second graders and 1 group of first graders what it takes to make a birthday card. I used my cricut and precut stars in yellow, blue, and white cardstock and used patterned paper I had in the house to make generic birthday cards (We even had thank you cards for students who do not celebrate birthdays.) Students got to stamp a decoration onto the stars and even the envelopes. Then they put their cards together.

I wasn't able to take pictures because it was a little busy creating the cards with all the kids, but I can tell you we all had a wonderful time.

My friend and downline, Laurie came to help out, and she was truly appreciated.

Technology being what it is, this picture does not appear rotated on my computer and I do not know how to fix it.....so, use your imagination and rotate it in your mind, please. Ha ha.

Enjoy!
